About Yalla Thornhill Camp
Welcome to Yalla Thornhill Camp, where we bring Israeli culture to Canada! Running from July 7 to August 15, our summer camp offers boys and girls aged 5 to 13 years old an unforgettable experience packed with fun, learning, and friendships.
Mission Statement
At Yalla Thornhill Camp, we believe in celebrating Jewish-Israeli culture and helping kids feel at home, whether they’re growing up in Canada or newly adjusting to life here. To ensure everyone feels comfortable and included, each of our three age groups (5-6, 7-9, and 10-13) is split into English or Hebrew-speaking groups, catering to the unique needs of our campers.
Our Schedule
- Camp Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Age Groups:
- 5-6 years old
- 7-9 years old
- 10-13 years old
Camper Experience
Our program is designed to be both fun and enriching, with a balance of exciting activities, skill-building opportunities, and special weekly highlights. Each week, campers will participate in special events, such as:
- Performances from talented entertainers.
- Inflatable attractions that bring pure joy.
- MasterChef-style cooking activities where kids can unleash their creativity.
- Water Games and sports
To maintain a safe and supportive environment, we ensure a camper-to-staff ratio of 9:1, providing individual attention and guidance to every child.
Our staff
Most of our staff come from Tzofim Israeli Scouts, bringing with them hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of experience.
All of our staff undergoes training to ensure the kids are safe, welcome, and have as much fun as possible.
We believe that our team also needs to enjoy what they do for everyone to have the best time possible.
